<Precautions for use>

Please be aware that due to the silver plating on this plate, it cannot be used in a microwave. Additionally, similar to other ceramics, it cannot be used over an open flame.

Like silver jewelry, this plate will naturally oxidize and gradually change color. It has a characteristic of reacting to sulfur, leading it to darken, as might occur in hot springs. For instance, the sulfur content in items such as fried or boiled eggs causes the portion in contact with the plate to darken. Although such discoloration does not affect its usability, it can be removed if desired.

This silver-plated ceramic plate is designed to age gracefully like silverware. However, if the discoloration or stains are bothersome, please inform customers that they can almost restore the plate to its initial condition using the following method:

Prepare a pot large enough to contain the plate (avoid aluminum or copper pots, as they may cause staining). Line the bottom of the pot with two layers of aluminum foil, ensuring the bottom is covered completely.

Place the silver-plated ceramic plate on top of the aluminum foil and fill the pot with enough water to fully submerge the plate.

Heat the water on medium heat until it boils. Depending on the size of the plate, add 2 to 3 tablespoons of baking soda once the water starts boiling. (If the discoloration is severe, increase the baking soda to a 3:1 ratio with water.) This process will help the oxidized film on the plate detach and adhere to the aluminum foil. If stains remain, increase the baking soda and boil again.

Once the plate is clean, remove it from the pot. For severely discolored areas, apply baking soda directly and scrub with a sponge.

This method is commonly used in British households to clean silverware and cutlery, so it can also be used to clean silver cutlery along with the silver-plated ceramic plate.

<BUYER'S RECOMMENDATION>
By applying silver glaze, we hope you will enjoy the changes that occur over time as you use the item.
I incorporate what I feel from my daily life and the things I like into my pottery making. The beauty of aging, the beauty of nature, the transience of decay...
I want to keep making pottery that takes you by surprise and that evokes emotions that resonate with you.
